In Uganda, the Bwindi impenetrable forest is the sanctuary for almost half the world's population of Mountain Gorilla's ( About 330 of 600 ), which is the rarest race of Gorilla. Established as a safe habitat for several families of mountain gorilla , it is now the location of an an important scientific conservation programm. Gorilla Tracking visits are limited to small groups.

ATS 030- PEARL OF AFRICA GORILLA SAFARI- UGANDA
The Pearl of Africa as desciribed by Winston Churchil is Situated on the equator and offers breathtaking scenery. The National Parks are more remote and less crowded. Alefran Tours and Safaris will organize for Gorilla tracking, to see this awe inspiring giants is to remind us of our ancestry

Day 1 Transfer from your point of arrival of arrival for overnight at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

Day 2 Taking a picnic lunch you drive through scenic countryside to lake Bunyonyi. Overnight at Far Out Island Camp. B/L/D

Gorilla TrackingDay 3 A short walk or a chance to fish or canoe on the lake before leaving to drive into the Mountains to 'Bwindi Forest' . Overnight at Buhoma Luxury Tented Camp. B/L/D

Day 4 A full day trekking for Gorilla taking a picnic lunch. Overnight at Buhoma Camp. B/L/D


Day 5 Drive Back to Entebbe with lunch enroute. Overnight at Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel. B/L/D

Day 6 Transfer to depart.

  • Mountain Gorillas are an endangered species, living in remote and ancient forest borders between Uganda and its western neighbours.
  • Permits are strictly limited and advance planning & booking is strongly recommended
  • All Safaris offer full board accommodation as described B/L /D

 

ATS 031- NGAMBA ISLAND CHIMPANZEE SANCTUARY- DEPARTS DAILY
Drive to Entebbe and Board a small boat to visit the 100 acre island of natural forest. Here you find orphaned Chimpanzee and you can assist in their feeding. Enjoy a picnic lunch and return to the mainland for transfer back to Kampala in the afternoon.



ATS 032- 3 DAYS MURCHISSON FALLS

Day 1 Drive north Via the famous 'Luwero triangle' . Proceed through Nakosongola and Masini towns. Have a picnic lunch at in the Sudogo forest whilst looking for Chimps. An afternoon to the renowned Sarova Paraa Lodge

Day 2 Breakfast & Leisure before a boat cruise in the River Nile. Within this park behold the natural beauty of this worlds longest river. The whole river about 3 km wide is forced through a 7 metre gap in the rocks and cascades 43 m below. Marvel at the Spectacular Murchison falls over your picnic lunch. During the afternoon view a variety of birds & wildlife and return by boat to Sarova Paraa Lodge.

Day 3 After breakfast drive to Masindi Hotel before proceeding onto Kampala where the Tour ends.
