Day
1: After breakfast head west for Maasai Mara Game Reserve andcheck-in
at the lodge. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the game
reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants,
well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July,
August andSeptember are the months when the Mara plains are filled with
migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round.
The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game
reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa Lodge
Day 2: Morning
and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara. Meals and overnight at the
Mara Sopa Lodge
Day 3: After
breakfast proceed northwards to arrive in Lake Nakuru National park in
time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight
at the Lion Hill.
Day 4: Full day game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park, where
you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable
number of the endangered rhinocerous and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks
as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the
park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and
around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake.
Leave for Nairobi
arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Boulevard
Hotel.
Day 5: After
breakfast, pick up by the Nairobi-Arusha shuttle bus via Namanga boarder
to arrive at Arusha in time for lunch. Later proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation
Area and set up camp and game drive. Ngorongoro Conservation Area's central
feature is the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest intact caldera in
the world and one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. The Olduvai
Gorge in the neighbourhood is the site where some of Africa's oldest hominid
fossils were found. The Crater has densest predator population in Africa.
Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and a host of other resident animals
are to be found here. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife
Lodge.
Day 6: Morning
and afternoon game drives at the Crater floor. Meals and overnight at
the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 7: After
breakfast leave for vast Serengeti National Park, Africa's most popular
game reserve. There is an incredible number of animals in this vast game
park. Wildebeest is the most populous followed by zebras. Elephant is
notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big cats are regularly sighted
in the plains. The few
remaining endangered black rhino are restricted at the Moru Koppies area.
The park is also famous for the wildbeeste migration, often described
as the most impressive spectacle in the world. Arrive in time for lunch.
Afternoon proceed for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 8: Morning
and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife
Lodge.
Day 9: After
breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park and set up camp. After lunch
proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park. Birdlife in the park
is very broad. The home of tree-climbing lion, the park is also home to
giraffes, hippo, zebra, and buffalo. Dinner and overnight at the Lake
Manyara Hotel.
Day 10: Morning
and afternoon game drive drives in the park. Meals and overnight at the
Lake Manyara Hotel.
Day 11: After
breakfast leave for the Tarangire National Park in time for lunch. Afternoon
game drive in the park. Meals and overnight at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Day 12: Morning
and afternoon game drive drives in the park. Meals and overnight at theTarangire
Sopa Lodge.
Day 13: After
breakfast proceed for an early morning game drive enroute to Arusha town
in time
for lunch. Leave early afternoon for Nairobi and either drop off at the
airport or town depending on your flight schedule.
The
price for the above tour is US$ 2175 per person.
