Safaris in East Africa
East Africa is one
of the richest bird areas in the world. With a wealth of different habitats,
often close to each other, it's quite easy to spot over 100 species in
one day.
Although many of the birds are brightly colored and exotic looking, they
are generally quite easily recognized; within a day or two you will be
identifying the various species with ease! Their main habitats include
water, open plains, woodlands and farmlands.
On or near water, you will find bright pink flamingos, hammerkops, iridescent
kingfishers, plovers, herons, storks, geese, cranes, jacanas and of course
the magnificent African fish eagle. In certain places along the Kenyan
coast, there are breeding pairs of osprey as well.

Mountain Walking,

We specialise in off the beaten track walking. A few of our walks, such
as the walk on the Ngong Hills may be as short as just a couple of hours.
Most of our other walks are full expeditions, going into the more remote
areas of Kenya, and may last a week or more.
All walks on Mt. Kenya and Kilimanjaro are done via non tourist tracks.
We will not ascend Mt Kenya via the Naro Moru side, nor Kilimanjaro via
the Marangu route. On these two mountains however we do use support from
porters and additional local guides as required. In other mountains, due
to the remoteness and beauty of those areas, we tend to be totally independent
of additional assistance and carry everything ourselves.

Highlights & Description: Experience East Africa through a series
of Lectures and field trips on this Educational Cultural Study Tour Program.
The students will explore the interplay of Traditional tribal-village
cultures and contemporary cultures in the cities. The relations in tourism,
ecology, politics, democracy, History, Geography, Health and economic
development will be examined during the study tour. Emphasis will be placed
on the role of intercultural communication in societies in transition.
Field trips are planned to go along with the covered material during the
seminars and lectures. The program fee covers tuition, full board accommodation,
all excursions, ground transport in Kenya. The program is designed for
Universities, Colleges and professionals.
White Water Rafting Safaris
