Example Packages for Weddings in Kenya

Celebrate your dream wedding and honeymoon in Kenya. To get married in Kenya is very exotic and easy to arrange in different places. You have a wide choice of most romantic and exiting places for your wedding; a small dreamy island, along the beach, or on Lamu Island, in the African Wilderness or on the Equator in the luxury of Mount Kenya Safari Club, on board of an Arabian Dhow facing the old town of Mombasa or in the capital city, Nairobi.

Wedding at New Lamu Palace Hotel, Lamu Island, Kenya Coast

Founded in the 7th century, Lamu still reflects the typical picture of the old Arabic dhow ports. Not only the Swahili-culture has its roots in Lamu, but hand finished, richly carved furniture and doors. Old 18th century stone houses, women dressed in the traditional bui-bui, donkey caravans, fishermen in their dhows with huge triangular sails giving the atmosphere of the busy days of the past. The narrow streets have about 4000 donkeys, which take the place of cars, lorries and taxis.
Lamu Palace hotel is located on Lamu Island directly on the seashore. It has 22 rooms all of which are air-conditioned. There is a restaurant on the rooftop and a more spacious one on the terrace serving seafood, as it’s specialty. There are sunbathing, diving, snorkeling by dhow boat trips to the nearby Manda island.

Wedding at Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi

Older than The London Ritz, younger than The Savoy, no other hotel in Kenya has as rich history as The Norfolk, one of the worlds most romantic hotels. When it first opened on Christmas of 1904, it was to spearhead traditions, which are still unmatched today. Nairobi as a capital of Kenya grew all around The Norfolk. It soon became a gathering place for new arrivals, businessmen and government officials. Big Game Hunters, with clients such as aristocrats and adventurers who came to experience the new Kenya, started their safaris here. It was an island of civilized comfort in the early wild and dusty days of this country. The guest list made its legend and still does so today .Because of the excellent service and the fine cuisine it is now a member of "The Leading Hotels of the World".

Wedding at Governors Camp, Maasai Mara National Reserve

The Governors' Family of Camps provides luxury and comfort while retaining the authentic flavor of safari camping. There is still excitement - wild animals in camp, only canvas overhead and yet you can have a hot shower and iced drinks. The high quality of food and service seem amazing in this rough, bush setting miles from civilization. This was the first tented camp to be established in the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The green tents are sited along the high banks of the looping Mara river. Tall old trees, clipped green lawns, and the quiet river give everything a feeling of tranquility. Each tent is sited on a cement foundation with a private bathroom. There are hot showers, flush toilets, washbasins and even bidets.

Wedding on the Equator at Mt. Kenya Safari Club, Nanyuki

With its 5,199 meter height, the Mt. Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain and superb scenic beauty. Although it is right on the equator, its peaks are snow covered all year. Part of the mountain's fascination is the variety in flora and fauna as the altitude changes. A number of rare or endangered species can be found here. The mountain is regarded as the perfect model of an equatorial mountain. The Mount Kenya Safari Club, with its blend of romance, history and scenery has become a Kenyan tradition. Built right at the equator, on a ridge facing Mt Kenya, the site is truly magnificent. The grand main building gleams white against the green sweep of surrounding lawns, and there are dramatic vies of the foothill forests rising to the peak of Mt. Kenya.
The accommodation covers a wide range of styles, locations and prices. Activities includes, nine-hole golf course, heated swimming pool, horseback riding on trails, tennis- bowling, green museum of African art, Kimathi hideout used by the legendary Mau Mau general, trout fishing and moor land walks.

Wedding at Mara Safari Club, Maasai Mara National Reserve

This area of 1,800 sq km National Reserve spreads southwest of Nairobi, along the Tanzanian Border and the Serengeti National Park. The Mara River and its tributary the Talek water the landscape of gently rolling grassy hills. Masai Mara has the highest concentration of game in Kenya and the largest lion population, including the black-manned lion. The Mara River is teeming with hippos, huge crocodiles and oversized catfish. It is the theatre of the "Greatest Animal Show on Earth", the great migration. From July to September, hundred thousands of gnus, accompanied by zebras, antelopes and gazelles, move from the dry Serengeti to greener pastures, closely monitored by their predators.
The luxurious Mara Safari Club is set at the foot of the Aitong Hills in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area, bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve. All tents have their own private river frontage, with four-poster beds, veranda, electricity, modern en suite facilities with hot and cold running water. The main building, with lounge, bar and dining room is cantilevered over the river.

Weddings at Chale Paradise Island, South Coast Kenya

Chale Island is a small dreamy coral island, located about 12 km south of the famous Diani Beach. The island is a nature reserve with wealth of animal & bird life, natural springs (thermal) and salt lakes in the interior. Being mostly furnished with African/Arabic antiques, the elegant tented bungalows and apartments have a combined living and bedroom, a separate bathroom with shower and toilet and a spacious terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean. The tented bungalows are makuti thatched with their own little sunbathing beach. The open restaurant, the palm leaf thatched bar and the Dhow-bar lies on the bay, with its white sandy beach offering opportunities for activities such as diving, snorkeling, boat riding and fishing.
